Seedlings, sap and river rising.

As 2013 salsa makings are striving sun-ward through our south windows:



and the maples hesitatingly begin offering promise of wood fire boiling and homemade syrup:


 I took a walk across with the camera across the soggy snow covered field to have a look at how the water is flowing at the river rapids. The snow is nearly knee deep in most places still!



Downstream of the rapids with the increased current:

 A steady and increased bubbling flow at the rapid rocks and beaver dam. Rushing water sounds so good!


 Back at the swim hole there is slush from melt runoff and a melted spot probably from river turbulence.

Then its back to the house through the still massive snow drifts!
